Sessions at The Monument
A mainstay of our festival for a few years now – venture up the lush Kelburn glen, pass through the Tea Cave – and up to the Monument for a series of unscripted performances from a wide array of acts. This year we have invited the Lost Horizon Folk Club to curate Saturday’s Monument action, featuring a range of top quality London-based folk artists. Don’t forget to refresh at the guerilla cocktail bar either!

The Saloon Bar
A vital stop on your adventures through The Kelburn Estate. Drop into The Saloon for a pint and be submerged in a world of non-stop quirky entertainment. Catch Creative Electric’s Desperation Bingo, an interactive merging of verbatim theatre and bingo. Play Heather for the 69p in her account and stories of stolen birthday cakes. What’s more? Blind Date, Catchphrase, The Generation Game, and of course! This tavern of treats will be the home of weird prizes, larger-than-life hosts, and lasting encounters. See The Saloon daily details…

The Twin peaks Tipis
Rising again to bring you the best in alternative entertainment! Visual Art, Music, Dance, Physical Theatre, Circus and Cabaret are all on the menu, as well as some very special not-to-be-missed features. Saturday is Fringe day. We’re paying tribute to fringe festivals across the world by bringing some of the best performers and their full shows throughout the day! We have theatre, poetry, musical comedy from fringe legends Des O’conor and Frank Sanazi. To top it all off we have a marvellous Pyroceltica fire show and Alien Lullabies & visuals from Fiona Soe Paing to end the night. Sunday and it’s vaudeville, comedy, and cabaret on the menu in a five-star feast of first-rate fun. We have non-stop cabaret including Live bands, Vive La Variete, Creative Martyrs Cabaret & physical theatre, and some of Kelburn’s own regular’s in the Kelburn Cabaret collective.The shows will run through the night finishing with the topless tipi cabaret for some late night entertainment…
We hear rumours that some group of wiley smugglers are sneaking a whole neighbourhood of frivolities into our midsts, and whispers do sound somewhat superb. A stone’s throw from the main campsite, get stuck into a range of games and activities throughout the day light hours. And at night? Plunge into a realm of folk music from around the world through the night. This may truly a place to chill out and soak in the vibes, there will even be the must-have late night fire to light the midnight oil…
Take the five minute trek up to Kelburn’s upper Viewpoint and bask in some of the most stunning Scenery that we have on offer. Panoramic views that role over the ocean and isle of Arran. Turn to your side- that’s a double decker BlundaBus specially airdropped for your entertainment! The Blundabus will offer a range of light refreshments and a healthy dose of top-quality comedy to refresh you from your arduous walk. Catch the likes of Des O’Connor – Festival Dad, Frank Sanazi, Vive La Varetie as well as Kids Shows to entertain all! Watch this space for times and days to come…
The Plaisance Sessions
Picture the scene: its a Sunday afternoon, the sun is beating down, you are reclining in a stunning walled garden, Pimms in hand, with the sound of a cello solo washing over you. This is much more happens in the Plaisance (Walled Garden) at Kelburn: piano recitals, swing jazz, acoustic music sessions and much, much more…
The Police Rave Unit
A favourite of festivals south of the border, and having made their debut at Kelburn last year, we are pleased to welcome back these naughty party-starting coppers with their wagon of beats. They will be conducting “stop and dance” operations throughout the weekend, as well as keeping a keen eye out for any mischievous behavious… so they can join in!

Do you like being among beautiful surroundings while soaking in an eclectic entertainment? Then you must check out the grand Kelburn Gardens. Overlooked by the one-of-a-kind Castle this pristine patch will not be exempt from the madness to come. Be amazed by the energetic Circus Alba. Awe a the impressive moves of the Type Theatre Dance Performance. We even have a special show by the National Scottish Theatre, sure to be a uniquely unique spectacle.
The Kelburn Parade & Jamboree, SUNDAY 6PM
On Sunday evening, just before we all rev up for the final part of the festival, we will once again be forming a colourful multi-strand procession led by the Samba Ya Bamba and many other amazing acts from the weekend that will start from various points around the site, and converging at the Gardens for a unique one-off collaboration of many talented musicians. This is always one of the most special moments of the weekend, and as we explore new ways to collaborate we invite you once more to witness this musical delight in the formal gardens. There will even be a marvellous barbecue at The Lounge, the parades final destination.
Fun At The Waterfall
This is probably the only festival in the UK where you can cleanse those over-indulgences with a restorative dip in a spectacular waterfall pool, set deep in the Kelburn gorge. Don’t have the nerves to strip off and get right in the water? That’s grand! Perch on the rocks and enjoy the dappled sunshine with cider in hand. We’ll set the mood with a series of pop-up performances: poetry, music, a gramophone DJ set, and even a duck race. Just watch out for the pirates…
The Beach Plateau
An exquisite spot tucked into the hills of the Kelburn estate. The beach plateau will be jam packed throughout the days with poetry, story telling, and tribute to Bowie. Then it all descends into the organised chaos of an old school rave! Join us at the beach plateau for all this and more…
Yorlim Y. Not’s Turkish Steam Room & Tepidarium
After a packed day of Kelburn adventures, we absolutely recommend you visit this wonderfully relaxing wood fired steam room. This is not another sauna, or sweat lodge, or like anything you’ve probably seen before or come to expect at a festival. Once you have steamed in Yorlim Y Not’s steam room you will feel reborn, and it’s an excellent hangover cure too! Find the steam room in the Village area near the entrance to the campsite.
