Frequently Asked Questions

Why haven’t I received my ticket yet?

We do not send out physical tickets.  When you buy a ticket from our website via PayPal you will have received an email receipt.  That email is your ticket(s), bring a print out of it and ID and we will exchange it for a wristband(s). If you bought your ticket from Ticketweb, you will have either asked for your ticket(s) to be sent to you, or held at the Box Office for collection on arrival. Any issues with Ticketweb transactions must be directed to them.

When does the festival site open & close

The Kelburn Garden Party opens officially on Saturday 30th June at midday. However the campsite opens at 1pm on Friday, and guests are free to arrive from then onwards. We will be putting on a special warm-up party on the Friday night for the early starters featuring bands and DJs (£10 surcharge applies, playable on arrival). Food and drink will be available too. The festival closes at 3am on Monday morning, and the campsite closes on Monday evening.

What is Fast Ticket?

Checking IDs against a list of all the tickets that have been sold takes too long.  So from The Garden Party 2012 we will institute a Fast Ticket system.  Shortly before the event (usually on the morning of the event) we will email PayPal ticket purchasers with a security code.  To collect your tickets all you will need is your name and the unique code number.  There will be no other ID check, this code effectively becomes your tickets so please be careful with it.  If you forget the code then we still be able to use the original PayPal receipt and ID method to release tickets.

Where do I collect my wristband from?

Once you arrive at Kelburn you will need to swap your ticket for a security wristband in order to enter the festival site.  You can exchange your ticket for a wristband at the festival office which is in the Pavilion (building beside the campsite) for The Garden Party and in the small cafe beneath the square at other events.  DO NOT BUY WRISTBANDS FROM ANYONE OUTSIDE THE BOX OFFICE.  We control the wristbands very carefully, always inspect at the entrance and our excellent security team know how to spot fake, re-used and invalidated wristbands.  If you are found with an inappropriate wristband it will be confiscated and you will have to buy a new full price ticket or leave the site.

What is the environmental deposit?

In order to keep the campste site nice and clean for everyone, and to discourage tent abandonment, we are instituting an environmental deposit.  Everyone who camps must pay a £5 deposit when collecting their wristbands from box office and will be given a plastic refuse sack. At the end of the weekend all you have to do to get your deposit back is return the filled sack and show us that you have packed up your tent.

How much does it cost to park my car?

We know that many people need to drive to Kelburn but to encourage car sharing we have a two-tier car parking fee.  Cars with more than 2 people in pay £5 whilst cars with just 1 or 2 people pay £10.  Please car share, please give lifts, please use public transport.

Where is lost property kept?

During events lost property is kept in the box office.  Afterwards it is given the Kelburn Country Centre reception, you can call them on 01475 568 685.
