Providing unstoppable grooves since 2005, Federation of the Disco Pimp are Scotland’s premier exponent of modern funk. Combining elements of Old-School Funk, Disco, Psychedelic and Jazz, this 7-piece band of Scots are legendary for their endless energy and blistering live sets.
Hailing from the city of Glasgow, they have been championed by Craig Charles on his Funk and Soul radio show on BBC6 Music, Stephen Duffy on The Jazz House BBC Radio Scotland and Christian Bragg on Jazz Fm.
Pioneers of their own unique, niche underground quarterly club night, Soul Train, within their home city of Glasgow, Scotland; FOTDP performances at this event have gained notable interest within the funk scene resulting in further live performances supporting Craig Charles and appearing at the Glasgow Jazz Festival.
Autumn 2011 saw the band making waves in the Far East with their first release on P-Vine Records exclusively in Japan and with a new full-length album, More Than Dancing, JUNE 2012 expect to be seeing much more of Federation of the Disco Pimp.
