
Blending swamp blues, funk and indie dance grooves, drummer Andy Duncan “The Duke” wrote a sack-load of new material tackling his worldview and love for the power of music and dance to illicit both elation and sorrow. Inspired by the intense, emotional performances of the likes of Jim Morrison, Nick Cave and Thom Yorke, he decided to step out to the front of the stage to fully express himself.
Having pulled together some of Edinburgh’s finest musicians from Glamour and The Baybes, Wolfnote, Duschamp Pilot and The Tinderbox Orchestra, the result is a hedonistic psychedelic melange, like Alice out-hatting the Mad Hatter with Kerouac at The Hacienda.
