wojtek the bear are a 5-piece indie-pop band from Glasgow. They formed in 2016 and released their most recent album shaking hands with the NME in April 2024. It was recorded and produced by legendary producer Stephen Street and reached #2 in the Indie Breaker Chart, #5 in the Scottish Album Chart, #16 in the UK Vinyl Chart and #28 in the UK Physical Album Chart. They have played across the UK and Europe, gathering praise from listeners and press alike.
The band have been featured in publications such as The Scotsman, The Herald, Clash Music and Snack Mag and have been played across BBC 6Music, BBC Radio 1, KEXP and more.
