Getting to Kelburn
Getting to Kelburn is much quicker and easier than most festivals. Just 40 minutes from central Glasgow and less than 2 hours from Edinburgh. The site is 5 minutes from Largs train station and 30 minutes from both Prestwick and Glasgow Airports. We also operate a bus service from Edinburgh, Glasgow and Largs railway station to our events.
We do encourage as many people as possible to come by public transport or car share as we have a unique site, and limited space for cars. See below for information on how to get to Kelburn by bus and train.

The Kelburn Bus
The Kelburn Bus is our convenient, sociable and environmentally friendly way to get to Kelburn. It’s also economical; our early bird single tickets are cheaper than advance train fares to Largs which is still 1.5 miles from Kelburn. The Buses pick up in the centres of Edinburgh and Glasgow

The Largs Shuttle Bus – Catch the train from Glasgow!
If you’re coming by train from then you want get off at Largs Station which is 1.5 miles from Kelburn. The Kelburn Shuttle Bus will meet the busiest trains to and from the event. Cost is just £2 each way, please bring change.
WEDNESDAY CREW ONLY SHUTTLE a bus will meet the 17.48 from Glasgow Central which gets into Largs at 18.55 (on site in time for the 19.30 traffic team briefing
THURSDAY CREW ONLY SHUTTLE a bus will meet the 10.45 from Glasgow Central which gets into Largs at 11.48, in time for the 12.30 briefing.
THURSDAY SHUTTLE – For Thursday Bolt-on ticket holders and crew only, a bus will meet the 14:45 from Glasgow Central which gets into Largs at 15:48.
FRIDAY
On Friday we will have slightly more Shuttles than in previous years:
A shuttle will meet:
13:45* Glasgow Central > Largs Train – which arrives in Largs at 14:48
14:45 Glasgow Central > Largs Train – which arrives in Largs at 15:48
15:49* Glasgow Central > Largs Train – which arrives in Largs at 16:49
16:45* Glasgow Central > Largs Train – which arrives in Largs at 17:46
19:45 Glasgow Central > Largs Train – which arrives in Largs at 20:48
SUNDAY
a bus will leave Kelburn at 20:30 to meet the 20:54 train to Glasgow Central.
MONDAY
A shuttle will depart at:
10:30* to meet the 11:07 Largs > Glasgow Central Train
11:30* to meet the 12:07 Largs > Glasgow Central Train
12:30 to meet the 13:07 Largs > Glasgow Central Train
13:30 to meet the 14:07 Largs > Glasgow Central Train
At Largs Station just look for the big bus and give the driver £2.
When going home please be outside the Pavilion Box Office at least 15 minutes before the bus leaves with £2.
*these times will be serviced by a small capacity (16 seat) bus primarily on for operating the Park and Ride, First Come first served
Taxis
There is a taxi rank at Largs Station and there are several taxi companies in the area who know that the festival is on. We have a Taxi meeting point right near the festival’s box office. Taxis and Private Hire Vehicles will not be permitted to pick up or put down anywhere else on or near the estate during the festival.
Ride Sharing
If you have a spare seat, or several in your car/vehicle please offer it to your friends and if you still have spare seats, please advertise the space on Bla Bla Car, this will help formalise the cost sharing and act as a centralised place for other party goers to look for lifts https://www.blablacar.co.uk/offer-seats/1
If you are looking for a ride share, please ask your friends who has space in the first instance and in weeks before the festival look on Bla Bla Car: to avoid being scammed only pay through the bla bla car app, or in person on your way.
Largs Campus Park and Ride
This year we have been kindly supported by North Ayrshire Council who have given us 170 spaces in the Largs Campus (High School) Car Park. These are available on a first come first served basis, please register for a free park and ride ticket.
There will be a one way shuttle service running at peak times on Friday and Monday only (during the times advertised below only).
- Strictly no access to the car park will be allowed between 8pm and 8am.
- Drivers leave their cars at their own risk.
- Pack well and Pack Light: you will be sharing the coach with others.
- Park and ride vehicles are not allowed onto the festival site.
- You must register in advance to use one of these spaces.
The Festival’s Park and Ride Shuttle is £3 per head and will run:
Friday 30th June 14:00 – 18:00HRS travel to site only.
Monday 3rd July 1045 – 1445 travel to Largs Campus only.
