Kelburn Garden Party Terms & Conditions (aged 18+)

Kelburn Arts’ terms and conditions include but are not limited to:

  1. All ticket tiers for Kelburn Garden Party 2023 are non refundable unless the event is cancelled by Kelburn Arts or local authority due to fault or mismanagement by Kelburn Arts, or by the Scottish Government due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. In the event of cancellation or postponement due to Coronavirus (Covid-19), tickets will be automatically transferred to our rescheduled date or a full refund offered for a limited time.
  2. Fires of any kind (including barbecues) are not allowed anywhere on site except the official campfire points which may only be lit and tended by Kelburn crew.
  3. Private generators and sound systems are not allowed anywhere on site and may be confiscated until the end of the event.
  4. Cars and large non live-in vehicles may only park in the designated parking fields as instructed by traffic marshals. Parking by festival attendees (including staff, artists and audience members is not permitted on nearby residential streets).
  5. No vehicles are allowed into the camping fields – please contact us if you have accessibility concerns.
  6. The car parks and live-in vehicle fields close to arrivals at (10pm), vehicles arriving after then will not be allowed onto site. The box office closes at 10pm. You will not be allowed to check-in after this time or access the campsite. Please leave plenty time to travel to Kelburn.
  7. Live-In Vehicles or Caravans in the camper van field must have an adequate number of Plot Tickets and you must agree to  Kelburn’s Live-In Vehicle and Caravan rules as displayed here.
  8. Live-In Vehicles and Caravans that do not have adequate plot space must pay the appropriate fee to park in the parking field and may NOT be lived and/or slept in. ** PLEASE BUY YOUR PLOT TICKET NOW **
  9. No glass bottles are allowed on site.
  10. Alcohol not purchased at Kelburn may only be consumed in the campsite.
  11. Please respect the family camping areas by being quiet after 8pm and behaving considerately.  Otherwise you may be asked to relocate to general camping, where you should be considerate and quiet after dusk.
  12. All full ticket holders must pay £10 Environmental Deposit at box office when collecting wristbands.  To reclaim your Environmental Deposit please return a sack of rubbish or a small bag of cigarette butts to the skip between 5pm and 9pm on Sunday or 9am and 1pm on Monday. A member of  crew will take the rubbish, check you have packed away your tent or Live-In Vehicle and cut the recycle symbol off the tag on your wristband. If your wristband is damaged, defaced or removed then we will be unable to return your deposit. Environmental Deposits cannot be processed after 1pm on Monday.
  13. Car park/campsite/Box Office arrival times:
    • Thursday 29th June: 4pm – 10pm on Thursday  (for those who have the Thursday bolt on ticket)
    • Friday 30th June: 2pm – 10pm (box office opens at 2pm – 10pm)
    • Saturday 1st July: 9AM – 10pm (box office opens at 10am – 10pm)
    • Sunday 2nd July: 9AM – 8pm (box office 10am – 8pm)
    • Camping and Festival Facilities (including carparks must be vacated by 1pm on Monday 3rd July
  14. Arena and Glen Opening hours (subject to change)
    • Thursday 29th June – Summer Field Only opens at 5pm – 1am
    • Friday 30th June
      •  Summerfield from 8AM – 6AM
      • Never Ending Glen Opens 1pm – 9pm (via Castle/Corkscrew Paths only until 6pm)
      • Full arena open from 6pm – 3AM
    • Saturday
      • Summerfield 8AM – 6AM
      • Never Ending Glen Open 8AM – 9PM
      • Full Arena open 8AM – 4AM
    • Sunday
      • Summerfield 8AM – 6AM
      • Never Ending Glen Open 8AM – 9PM
      • Full Arena open 8AM – 3AM
    • Monday
      • Summerfield 8AM – Midday (limited number of stalls only)
  15. Kelburn Garden Party follows the “Challenge 25” policy. If you are over 18 but look like you may be under 25 you must bring photo ID to get an adult wristband and be allowed to buy / consume alcohol on-site.  Bar staff are instructed to challenge for ID.
  16. Kelburn Garden Party is a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere, we are all one big family on a music art adventure. We come together as artists, crew and audiences to create and maintain a safer space experience. We do not tolerate behaviour which endangers the atmosphere or puts at risk that safer space.  We do have a 24 hour welfare team as well as first aid and security on site, come and say hello. More information about safer spaces at festivals and how to do festivals safely is available here.
  17. Dogs are not allowed at Kelburn Garden Party.
  18. All attendees (including guardians on behalf of their children) agree to be photographed and filmed and for any images and footage to be used for promotion by Kelburn Arts.
  19. Illegal drug use will not be tolerated at Kelburn. Please do not bring and/or take drugs.  Searches will be carried out by security and, if you are found to have any illegal drugs, they will be confiscated and the police will be informed.
  20. All attendees agree to have their person, tent, vehicle and any other property searched by members of the security and / or Kelburn management team.
  21. Kelburn Arts will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained before, during or after the event unless proved to be caused by the negligence of Kelburn Arts.
  22. Kelburn is a working country centre situated within a glen, consequently there is a wide variety of walking surfaces. You must take particular care when outside the central events area and in the glen and ensure you return to lit areas before dusk. As you would expect accidents are possible so please dress appropriately with appropriate footwear and take care.
  23. Each ticket is an easily printable document that will be emailed to you.  The name on the ticket is not checked against ID unless there is a problem scanning the ticket. If someone has a copy of your ticket they can claim your wristband(s). We cannot be held responsible for the security of your ticket any more than we would be responsible for you losing a traditional physical ticket. Please be careful.
  24. If your wristband is damaged or broken go straight to box office to request a replacement. If you lose your wristband then we will be unable to replace it even if you can prove that you purchased a ticket. If you are concerned that your wristband is damaged or may fall off, we will be happy to replace it. If you come to us with a wristband that has come off of your wrist completely please bring your ticket or proof that you purchased a ticket or we will be unable to replace it.
  25. Kelburn Arts reserves the right to refuse entry without explanation or appeal.
  26. Kelburn Arts reserves the right to amend these T&Cs without notice.

Kelburn Garden Party Terms & Conditions (Thursday Birthday Bolt On Tickets)

Thursday Birthday Bolt On ticket holders are subject to all the normal T&C’s detailed above however they have extra conditions:

  1. Thursday Birthday Bolt On ticket holders must also have purchased a full weekend ticket. Thursday Birthday Bolt On tickets are invalid if purchased alone.
  2. Box office will open at 16:00 on Thursday 30th June – access to the campsite and live-in vehicle field will only be allowed to full weekend camping ticket holders who also hold a Thursday Birthday Bolt On ticket.
  3. The Thursday Birthday Bolt On ticket allows access to a limited area of the festival arena that will be open from 18:00-0100 on Thursday 29th June and limited early access to certain areas of the festival arena earlier than main opening on Friday 30th June
  4. Under 5’s accompanying an adult with a Thursday Birthday Bolt On ticket will not require a Thursday Birthday Bolt On ticket.

Kelburn Garden Party Terms & Conditions (single day tickets extra conditions)

Day ticket holders are subject to all the normal T&C’s detailed above however they have limited access times:

Friday only  =  2pm on Friday until 6pm on Saturday
Saturday only  =  10am on Saturday until 6pm on Sunday
Sunday only  =  10am on Sunday until 2pm on Monday


Kelburn Garden Party Terms & Conditions (aged 0-17)

Kelburn Arts’ terms and conditions include but are not limited to:

  1. Children under 18 years old may attend KGP with a Youth (13-17 y/o), Child (5-12 y/o) or Child (Under 5) ticket if accompanied by an appropriate adult guardian.
  2. Free Range Children and Young People Policy: Children under 13 must be accompanied at all times. Children and young people (anyone aged under 18 years old) are not allowed in the event arena after 9pm without appropriate adult supervision.
  3. All attendees aged 18 and over must buy an adult ticket,  Goverment issued ID will be required to receive an adult wristband, or to prove eligibility for either the Youth or Child ticket.
  4. Kelburn Garden Party follows the “Challenge 25” policy. If you are over 18 but look like you may be under 25 you must bring photo ID to get an adult wristband and be allowed to buy / consume alcohol on-site.  Bar staff are instructed to challenge for ID.
  5. Tickets are not refundable unless the event / service is cancelled.
  6. Tickets may only be re-sold via Skiddle’s Reselling platform
  7. For a more family friendly environment please use the family camping or family live-in field, be quiet after 8pm and behave in a considerate manner.
  8. All attendees (including guardians on behalf of their children) agree to be photographed and filmed and for the images and footage to be used by Kelburn Arts for promotional purposes.
  9. Children under 13 do NOT have to pay the £10 environmental deposit.
  10. Kelburn is a glass-free site, no glass bottles are allowed on site.
  11. Kelburn Arts will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained before, during or after the event unless proved to be caused by the negligence of Kelburn Arts.

Parking Terms & Conditions

Kelburn Arts’ terms and conditions include but are not limited to:

  1. The car parks and live-in vehicle fields open at the same time as the camping fields at the beginning of each event. Anyone arriving before that will be directed off site until the stated opening time.
  2. The car parks and live-in fields close at 10pm, no vehicles are allowed in after that time. Security will assist drivers wanting to leave site but no vehicles are allowed to park (or return to a parking space) until 10am.
  3. Taxis and other vehicles may drive through site after 10pm in order to drop off or pick attendees but no vehicle may be parked or left (even briefly).
  4. Any vehicle which gets stuck/broken down after dark must be left until 9am. Kelburn will not recover stuck/broken down vehicles until the morning shift starts, 3rd Party recovery companies will not be permitted access after dark.
  5. Kelburn Arts reserves the right to amend these T&Cs without notice.

Live-In Vehicle Terms & Conditions

Kelburn Arts’ terms and conditions include but are not limited to:

  1. Space is very limited so ensure you buy enough 4x6m plots for your live-in vehicle, getting into and out of it, awning, etc. You are allowed to buy more than one plot.
  2. Small Tents, as secondary accommodation to a live-in vehicle, are allowed inside your pitch so long as they fit completely inside the plot/plots that you have purchased.
  3. Pitches cannot be held or reserved, if you wish to camp together, please arrive together and make the gate staff aware, who will try their best to accommodate you. Abuse will not be tolerated
  4. Any Live-In Vehicles / Caravans which arrive onsite without a plot ticket purchased in advance will be asked to leave. Or if capacity allows may purchase a car parking ticket (possibly two if its a big vehicle or you are towing) but this cannot be used for living in/sleeping in.
  5. Kelburn has limited facilities for emptying chemical toilets, and request that these are removed and emptied away from Kelburn
  6. Kelburn will not be held liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained before, during or after the event unless caused by the negligence of Kelburn Arts.
  7. The car parks and live-in vehicle fields open at the same time as the camping fields at the beginning of each event. Anyone arriving before that will be directed off site until the stated opening time.

Kelburn Arts Ltd. Child Protection Policy

  1. A child is anyone under the age of 18.
  2. Children may only attend Kelburn Garden Party if accompanied by a suitable and responsible adult guardian.  The guardian is responsible for the welfare of the child at all times.
  3. Free Range Children and Young People Policy: Children under 13 must be accompanied at all times. Children and young people (anyone aged under 18 years old) are not allowed in the event arena after 9pm without appropriate adult supervision.
  4. All Kelburn staff, sub-contractors and volunteers who work with children will either be PVG checked or supervised by someone who is PVG checked.
  5. Lost children should be taken to either the first aid and welfare team or Box Office where they will be looked after by staff who either PVG checked or supervised by someone who is PVG checked.
  6. Children under the age of 5 (plus older children at the guardian’s request) are issued with a wristband onto which the guardian’s phone number is written.
  7. If anyone is concerned about the welfare of a child it is their duty to report to first aid and welfare or operation team.  Kelburn Arts management will assess the situation and where appropriate contact either Police Scotland or Social Care Direct.

Fun-loving indie poppin' duo @sacredpaws deliver t Fun-loving indie poppin' duo @sacredpaws deliver the goods to our Pyramid Stage on the Sunday at Kelburn Garden Party 2023 ✨  Based in Glasgow, these two have been at the forefront of the Music City's thriving band scene for some time now. Their first album, Strike A Match, was released by Mogwai's label Rock Action, blending afrobeat sounds with pop and post-punk. It's only right that it earned them @sayaward in 2017.  This summer they'll treat us to renditions of Strike A Match and its snappy follow-up, Run Around The Sun 👀

We've been overwhelmed by how many of you want to help out this year!  Most of our volunteering teams are almost full, but there are still opportunities there for those of you still looking to sign up. They are:  🚦 TRAFFIC – Help us coordinate car parking as our guests arrive at and leave the festival site.  👷‍♀️ SITE BREAK – We've got the site build team down, but we also need some practical minded folks to take down the festival at the end of the weekend. Full days, but you would then be free to enjoy the whole festival.  Apply on our website (link in bio)
In case you missed this on our stage split announc In case you missed this on our stage split announcement on Monday - here's the line-up for our little Thursday Knees-Up taking place again in the Summerfield for all keen beans. Smugglers will see sets from Glasgow's #1 ska band @esperanza.ska  and the fiery @balkanarama house band @smashkafana alongside @ed_gnarlytree and @beggarsbuttons while the Twin Peaks Cabaret Tent will also host some off-the-wall entertainment. Craft beer and cocktails will also abound of course as will the camp fire  Only 200 add-on tickets left - all ages welcome. We're also about to launch a new Thursday bus service for those who want to come early. See our website for details. ❤
Spaces are filling up fast now on The Kelburn Bus. Spaces are filling up fast now on The Kelburn Bus. This is the greenest way you can get to the festival (bar walking, of course) and a convenient travel solution 🍃  We'll pick you up from Edinburgh or Glasgow on the Friday, and drive you all the way to the festival. We'll then get you home on the Sunday or Monday, with a late Sunday night option if you want to get home that little bit faster.  Tickets for the Thursday bus will go on sale soon too.  Tickets are on sale on @skiddleuk (select Add-ons to find Kelburn Bus tickets).

If dnb is journey music, then DJ Flight is the guide, with darkly hypnotic sets that grab hold of your lugs and refuse to let go.After being taken under the wing of Metalheadz pioneers Kemistry and Storm, Flight has gone on to carve out her own foundational role in the scene at the helm of EQ50, with residencies on BBC 1Xtra and Prison Radio Association, and with her recent Turn It Up documentary on BBC Sounds.
