We operate a convenient bus service from Edinburgh and Glasgow to the festival on the Thursday and Friday and then back on Sunday and Monday. We encourage as many people to use this as possible as we have limited car parking space on site. It gets you directly to the festival and is an ideal way to make some friends on the way, and also helps reduce our carbon footprint. Read on for information and to book…

The Kelburn Garden Party 2020 Bus
Single tickets to or from Glasgow cost £7.50 each plus booking fee. Single tickets to or from Edinburgh cost £13.50 plus booking fee.
The Late Night Service leaves Kelburn just after the event finishes at 04:20 early Sunday morning. Seats on these buses are more expensive as it’s the middle of the night. Late night single tickets to Glasgow cost £12 and to Edinburgh cost £17 each.
Please note that you cannot buy tickets in person on the buses from Glasgow and Edinburgh but tickets may be available from Kelburn back to the cities. See below for more info.
The Largs Train Shuttle Bus
All our buses are scheduled so that they can also make a shuttle run to Largs railway station to meet popular trains. Please click here for full details. As we can’t afford to run buses from other part of the country, we suggest you book public transport to meet our bus service in Glasgow.
The Late Night Service
If you need to get home for Monday morning but don’t want to miss any of the action we offer a Sunday Late Night Service. It departs 20 minutes after the event finishes; 03:30 at the end of The Garden Party. Please note that this is Sunday Night/Monday Morning.
These buses cost slightly more because it’s in the middle of the night – please be nice to the driver, he’s got to go all the way back to Kelburn after dropping you off.
Once tickets are sold out they automatically go off sale but it is quite normal for up to 5 people to miss the bus. Any unclaimed seats can be purchased from the driver for £10 (Glasgow) or £17 (Edinburgh). Late night tickets cost £17 to Glasgow and £22 to Edinburgh.
Transferring to a different bus
It is possible to transfer your ticket onto a different bus if there is space. You must pay £1 plus any difference in the cost of the ticket. Transfers are only available until the day before the first bus for that event. Find out how.
Please catch the bus from Waterloo Place in Edinburgh or outside Glasgow City Chambers on George Street (just next to George Square). These locations have been chosen because they are easy walking distance from bus and train stations (see maps below). All return buses leave from outside Box Office.
Important: Please arrive 15 minutes early to allow for stowing luggage and boarding. Food and drink are not permitted to be consumed on board.
Glasgow pick up point: City Chambers, George Street
New pick up in Glasgow is just round the corner from George Square. It is still outside City Chambers but on George Street and looks like this:
