Chris is a life-long music head and also the co-founder and curator of the Jazz Weekend and Kelburn Garden Party. Behind the decks he is a versatile DJ with the ability to weave together a tapestry of sound rooted in black music to create joyous dancefloor moments.
He has played hundreds of shows over the years, from sweaty basements clubs to large festival stages, notable gigs including art cars at Burning Man, Gugulethu Township in Cape Town, boat parties in the Adriatic, jazz clubs in Finland, Arcadia Afterburner at Glastonbury, Nyege Nyege Festival in Uganda and festivals and clubs across the UK. He has been resident DJ at a number of iconic Edinburgh club nights, past and present, including Samedia Shebeen, Disco Makossa, Departure Lounge and Four Corners. He has hosted and supported a huge range of top class artists, like Gilles Peterson, Mr Scruff, Candi Staton, Guru & Jazzmatazz, Bonobo, Tony Allen, Roy Ayers, Quantic Soul Orchestra…the list goes on and on.
