Signed by Acid Jazz’s Dean Rudland, following a tip-off from Christian Bragg of Jazz FM, Mama Terra is the brainchild of Glaswegian pianist and composer Marco Cafolla who wrote and demoed The Summoned, the groups debut album, during lockdown.
‘The Summoned’ is out on Acid Jazz Records. The Jazz/Spiritual/Soul/Roots based record has influences from John & Alice Coltrane, Nina Simone, McCoy Tyner & Miles Davis to Kamasi Washington, Erykah Badu & Robert Glasper.
