Originally from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s cultural heart, ButhoTheWarrior – known for his vibrant style in both sound and fashion garms – plays diverse global sounds that are rich with high hitting vocals, taking you on a soulful and spiritual rhythmic journey through African rare groove, psychedelia, disco, house, and jazz. A true mixmaster with unexpected sometimes tense transitions done skillfully.
Through his JAIVA residency at Sub Club, he’s built a space that champions heritage and community – celebrating both upcoming and pioneering artists – all grounded in the roots of Black music.
