Born and raised in San Sebastián, Spain to globe trotting musical parents, Chilli Flakes developed an early interest in dance and music from a variety of cultures. While visiting family where their mother was brought up in East Africa, they worked on the nightlife scene in Kenya, opening them up to AfroPiano style music. Their interest in DJing grew out of the Edinburgh club scene, moving them to want to shape the narrative in their own way — to choose and perform the music and to redress the balance in favour of female DJs. As they progress in this musical journey, their new objective is to collaborate with artists and producers from the UK and across the globe to craft new musical pieces, aiming to establish their presence not only as a DJ but as an artist within the music industry.
