Athens of the North

DJ Euan Fryer is a label owner, Producer and tastemaker known for his label Athens of the North, and is a member of the band East Coast Love Affair alongside producer Linkwood. Athens of the North is an influential Edinburgh based label well known for championing deep disco, funk and rare gorove nuggets, left-field house, and soulful electronic music tracks previously unknown or lost to time thus had a hardcore following and respect of fellow DJs and Collectors across the globe. Fryer’s DJ sound is wide-ranging and highly considered, rooted in his dancefloor instincts built with 30 years behind the decks, and collecting rare disco, deepfunk, soul, Jazz, and latin (and pretty much everything else). His sets draw from disco, house, boogie, Jazz, Soul, techno, and electronic oddities and reflects Athens of the North’s ethos: music with soul, that works on the dancefloor.
